Current Mood: Esctatic

Well we made it…  The whole saying goodbye was tearful and not very nice – gonna miss the family, friends and pooch terribly.  But am, looking forward to the adventure ahead.

The airport was highly amusing, Emma turned up with a Backpack weighing a measly 16kg, mine topped out at 14kg and Alex beat us all with her bag weighing 11kg (but she is only out with us for 3 weeks!).  Scatt on the other hand went the other end of the scale and managed to get a Heavy luggage tag on her bag because of the 25.9kg of clothes, that she has brought along – and that’s without her day rucksack!  Anyway, the plane managed to take off without any hitch and the flight was perfect – apart from some complete tosser behind me who was jealous of our extra leg room seats who decided to massage my lower back with his knees throughout the 11hour flight!

Arrived safe and sound and the hotel is lovely, going for a dip tomorrow morning to freshen up and work off the $2 meal that we have just eaten on Koh San Road – (Pad Thai Noodles!).
